这是考研英语史上迄今为止最难的一道应用文写作题。它是自2005年以来唯一的一篇非书信作文，而且directions中不乏中高级词汇，这使得英语基础较弱的考生无从下笔，最终只得到1~2 分的卷面分。虽然非书信类应用文在考研英语写作中出现得比较少，但是不排除在今后的考研英语考试中会再次出现这类题目，因此考生也需要花时间学习这一类型作文的写法，尤其是格式。​
